This weekend
could go down in Formula 1 history . In Austin, Kimi Antonelli could be crowned F1 world champion this Sunday, depending on the results of his direct rivals, George Russell and Lewis Hamilton . Although the Italian must first win to lift the trophy in Texas, it remains a likely scenario and was the subject of much discussion as early as Thursday’s press day.
However, this Friday, it’s time for the track. The first two Free Practice sessions will take place Friday afternoon (evening European time), and will allow everyone to discover the Circuit of the Americas, made up of many wide sections, where overtaking opportunities abound with this new generation of cars.
In F1 Academy, the only single-seater support category this weekend, Race 1 will start at night, and will see Lisa Billard and Jade Jacquet chasing their first podium in the category.
