Saturday night’s (October 17) main show saw Cach Mercer and Maddie Ingoldsby and Jaime Winstone and Carlos Gu jointly top the leaderboard with scores of 34.
Meanwhile, Dame Sarah Storey and Julian Caillon were left at the bottom on 21 points.
The leaderboard each week is decided by the judges’ scores, which are weighted equally with votes from the public, meaning in theory anyone could end up in the dreaded dance-off.
Storey and Caillon ended up being one of the pairs required to face the dance-off, along with Bethany Antonia and her partner Nancy Xu, who came third from bottom on 27 points.
In the end, judges Craig Revel Horwood, Motsi Mabuse and Anton Du Beke opted to save Antonia, meaning head judge Shirley Ballas did not need to use her deciding vote.
That meant Paralympian Storey was eliminated from the competition.
