WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury recently has called out Usyk claiming he avoided the fight with The Gypsy King.
Tyson Fury had his next fight confirmed recently as he is set to fight Dillian Whyte on April 23rd at the Wembley Stadium in London.
Oleksandr Usyk hit back at Tyson Fury as he claims Usyk said he has never backed down from any challenge, pointing to the fact that he even traveled to Russia to face Murat Gassiev in 2018, at a time when Russia and Ukraine’s relationship was already tense.
“If he wants, I can fight him right now, with bare knuckles in the street. In all of my career, I never denied to fight anybody, I never ducked anybody,” said Oleksandr Usyk.
He continued “Even when we had to go to Moscow, the situation between the countries was very tight. I could have big problems in my country, but even then I went to Russia to fight and show everybody what I’m capable of doing.”

“Fury is lying, I have never ducked anybody in all of my career,” Oleksandr Usyk claps back and challenges Tyson Fury
Oleksandr Usyk is currently in Ukraine as he is set to defend his country against the Russian Forces alongside fellow retired boxer Wladimir Klitschko and his brother and Mayor of Kyiv, Vitali Klitschko.
Usyk will put his 19-0 record on the line when he takes on the rematch against Anthony Joshua in the coming months which would set up a potential super-fight against Tyson Fury in the latter parts of the year in Saudi Arabia.
